Conflict & Personlity

Seasonal staff live together, work together, and spend a lot of time together—often when they’re tired. Conflict is going to happen.

This session helps staff better understand how they respond to conflict, recognize how others may respond differently, and practice working through those differences before they face them in a real situation.

Four counselors. Four personalities. One question.

Instead of only describing the four DiSC styles, I brought them to life. I played four different camp counselors, each interviewed by the same reporter about how they work, communicate, and respond to challenges.

The characters exaggerated each style just enough to make the differences easy to recognize—and gave us something fun and concrete to talk about together.

Recognition → Reflection → Demonstration → Practice → Application. 

DiSC provides a shared language for understanding differences, while the three-step conversation model gives participants a repeatable structure they can practice and use when conflict happens.
